Barry’s guitars are by Santa Cruz master builder Scott Walker. He currently owns six of them. They all have 9v buffers and OBEL setups. Barry plays 3 pedal steel guitars. For live gigs he plays either his Mullen or Williams. At home he has a ‘70s Sho-Bud. All 3 steels are single neck 12-stringers with the “extended E9” tuning. Barry plays with V-Picks on guitar and with JF fingerpicks & Dunlop thumb picks on pedal steel. Barry’s pedal lineup includes: Godfrey Daniels Hub Bub to incorporate the OBEL routing, a Peterson Strobo Stomp tuner, Sarno Earth Drive, Ibanez Tube Screamer mini, Greer Super Hornet Fuzz (inspired by Neal Casal), Dunlop mini-wah, EH Q-Tron envelope filter, Source Audio Nemesis Delay, and a Strymon Mobius. Barry’s amps are custom builds by Bill Krinard of Two Rock Amplifiers.
