TONE ZONE

Jimmy Law—Dogs In A Pile

Jimmy plays a stock Paul Reed Smith 2015 30th Anniversary guitar as his main axe. He also includes a Gibson SG, Gibson Les Paul Warren Haynes model, and a Gibson ES-335. He strings up fairly heavily with GHS Sub Zero Boomers 11-52. His amp of choice is a ’73 Fender Deluxe Reverb with an Eminence Legend 1258 speaker. He likes to mike the amp with a Sennheiser 906 and Heil PR30. Jimmy’s pedalboard by Custom NYC Cases includes a Mu-Tron III+, Ibanez TS808 overdrive, an Ibanez TS909DX overdrive, a Strymon Lex Rotary simulator, Strymon El Capistan delay, Strymon Zelzah phaser/modulation, Ox Blood Noise Endeavors Dweller, Mr. Black Tremolo, Empress Tape Delay, Vox Wah-Wah, Digitech Whammy, and an EP Booster by Xotic. Jimmy’s pick of choice is the Dunlop Jazztone 208.

Brad Sarno is a musician and inventor. With his wife Auset, he runs Sarno Music Solutions, which creates equipment that, among other things, allows guitarists to sound like a certain well known former Grateful Dead guitarist. He is the ideal guy to write the Tone Zone.
